LLCOS Administration
System rules, permissions, templates, and future planning.
These rules guide every future feature of LLCOS. Changes should be intentional and documented in the Version Log.
Business Rules
Business Rule #1
People exist once. Roles, assignments, and engagements change over time.
Business Rule #2
Events are yearly records. History is never overwritten.
Business Rule #3
Tasks belong to events and drive progress, timelines, and needs attention.
Business Rule #4
Volunteer shifts define what help is needed. Volunteer assignments define who is helping.
Business Rule #5
Sponsors and donations are tracked through Engagements, not directly on Organizations.
Business Rule #6
Every meaningful action should eventually create an Activity record.
Business Rule #7
Dashboards summarize. Workspaces manage.
Business Rule #8
Organization-wide pages show the whole nonprofit. Event pages show one event.
Business Rule #9
Simple is sustainable. If it is hard to use, we simplify.
Business Rule #10
The mission comes first.
Business Rule #11
Information should have one source of truth. Everything else should be calculated or displayed from that source.
Business Rule #12
Data is entered once and reused everywhere possible.
Business Rule #13
Every page should help someone make a decision.
Business Rule #14:
Automation should reduce work, never create more work.
Business Rule #15
Every widget should provide value immediately, then become more intelligent over time.
Business Rule #16
Every activity should answer: What happened, who did it, when did it happen, and what was affected?
Business Rule #17
Navigation should reflect how the organization thinks, not how the database is organized.
Business Rule #18
Departments own the work. People perform the work.
