KCRG-Students raise $8,000 to buy Christmas presents for families in need

Drexler Middle School students showed the true spirit of giving this holiday season by raising nearly $8,000 to help local families in need purchase Christmas gifts.
Students came together to shop for families using anonymous wish lists, helping provide toys, clothes, makeup, and other special gifts for children during the holidays. Target in Dubuque also supported the effort by donating $300 in gift cards toward the cause.
Live Like Cam was honored to contribute $1,000 to the project in memory of Cameron Schaefer. Cameron’s brother, Owen Copeland, shared that the goal was simple: “We just want to help out the community as much as we can.”
Giving back to our community is at the heart of Live Like Cam. We were honored to support a local Angel Tree and be part of something truly special—helping kids shop for gifts and experience a little extra joy during the holiday season.
